Elevation Networks becomes a recruitment partner for Escada
EN is proud to annouce that through our diversity in fashion campaign “Gifted” we have formed an amazing partnership with Escada. Following the success of the Access2 Fashion and Journalism event held earlier this year, both parties felt that they could make a big impact on the lives of students wishing to enter the world of Fashion. With this in mind the Gifted Campaign are partnering with Escada to offer internships to students who would like to get an insight into this industry.
More information on how to apply for the 2012 internships is soon to follow….
Following on from the Access2 Fashion and Journalism event, the Gifted Campaigns team interviewed Hannah Fuller, who attended the event in London from Aberdeen and was able to secure an internship with Escada.
Gifted: How did you hear about the event?
Hannah: I heard about the Access2 event via my university course leader, who forwarded on the invite to all the fashion students. I knew the event would be popular, so didn’t expect to be awarded a place – but it was a pleasant surprise!
Gifted: How did you find the event?
Hannah: The event was extremely beneficial, more so than I could have imagined. There was a great turn out both from students and guest speakers, who all gave very motivational and informative presentations.
Gifted: Which speaker stood out the most for you?
Hannah: One speaker that stood out for me was actually the host – Sir Terry Mansfield. He was clearly extremely knowledgeable about the industry, having been involved with magazines for many years. The Managing Director of Escada (Denise Shepherd) that really stood out to me also. Her response to one students question regarding how to ‘get away from the stress of the job’ really inspired me.
Gifted: How beneficial was the event for you:
Hannah: Without the event, I can’t imagine myself being able to secure the placement. The problem is that there are so many people desperate for experience and placements that companies are constantly sent CV’s – you need to have something to make yours stand out. I have been told numerous times that it’s more about whom you know, not what you know. Therefore, the access2 event gave me the perfect opportunity to make contacts and promote myself to potential employers. That way, when they received my CV, it didn’t just go into a pile. It led to me getting a placement!
Gifted: Summarise your experience in 4 words.
Hannah: empowering, constructive, unique & unforgettable.
