The London Learning Consortium believe that encouraging future citizen journalists is vitally important, especially within the diverse populations of the capital. So to celebrate and support the development of citizen journalism in London, The Media Society and London Learning Consortium have launched a competition called ‘London Voices’. The aim of the competition is to encourage Londoners to give citizen journalism a go, whether through written words, audio or video articles, photos or online.
Entry is free and everyone who registers for the competition will also get a free Media Interviewing course worth £50. All London-based aspiring citizen journalists are encouraged to register and enter, regardless of previous experience. Winners will get awards of up to £2000, and have the chance to meet a range of media and journalism professionals.
The competition is open until 22 May. For further details and to enter, click here.
