The National Citizen Service (NCS) is an exciting voluntary programme that offer 15-17 year olds the chance to gain skills, meet new people and give back to their local communities. NCS is part of the Government’s vision for building a Big Society.
Elevation Networks will be delivering the NCS programme for 15-17 year olds living, working or studying in Nottingham, Hertfordshire and Brighton over the next 3 years. The NCS programme is a great programme that helps young people build skills for university, work and life, while taking on new challenges and meeting new friends.
The programme aims to:
- Bring together young people from different backgrounds and helps them develop greater confidence, self-awareness and
- Encourage personal and social development by working on skills such as leadership, teamwork and communication.
- Enable volunteers to develop a social action project to deal with a local issue they are passionate about. This includes up
to 30 hours of volunteering in their community.
