Our Knowledge & Innovation Hub in Nottingham have just launched our Parliamentary Candidate Diversity Report.
The aim of the report is to compare and assess the ethnic backgrounds of electoral candidates from the Conservative Party, Labour Party and Liberal Democrats as well as to present and analyse the progress made in recent years.
Additionally, the paper explores past, current and present voting trends among BAME groups, examining the ethnic representation amongst MP’s in Greater London as a case study.
A series of suggestions for enhancing ethnic diversity is presented, concluding that political parties have taken the right path to tackle inequality, but there is a long way to reach full representation of society in Parliament.
Elevation Networks recently launched the Knowledge & Innovation Hub in Nottingham. We hope to be at the cutting edge of demonstrating understanding the current the diversity landscape.
