Mentoring Programmes

HSBC Advanced mentoring programme

The mentoring programme was designed for female students where they were given the opportunity to be mentored by a professional from HSBC. The mentoring programme was open to students from all diverse backgrounds with interests in fields other than finance. The programme was an opportunity to learn about the services HSBC have to offer, their roles, company culture and a way to learn about and prepare for their application process when applying for an internship and eventually the HSBC graduate programme. 16 female students were shortlisted from 200 who initially expressed interest in the programme.

HSBC Mentoring Programme for BME students

HSBC partnered with Elevation Networks to give 30 BME students the opportunity to receive mentoring from graduate trainees reinforcing our commitment to diversity. First year and penultimate students received support and skills to help them make career choices. Students gained insight into graduate programmes and firsthand experience into senior positions. Students were then supported into the application process for the summer internship programme.
