Great Debate Tour 2012
Wragge and Co are sponsoring our annual nationwide Great Debate Tour 2012 during October and November. The tour will be visiting universities in England, Scotland, and Wales, touring over 30 campuses with over 3000 people set to attend the debates. Students will be discussing the current lack of diversity within the Cabinet, amongst other issues, following the sacking of Baroness Warsi during last month’s reshuffle by the Prime Minister.
Over 10,000 students are expected to engage with the Great Debate Tour online and through social media. They will also be debating the situation with international students in London Metropolitan University, and the 2012 Olympic Legacy. The findings for the tour will be a main feature within the Youth Manifesto that is currently under development and is being backed by all three party leaders. The Youth Manigesto is being published by Bite the Ballot, a campaign set up to increase the number of young people on the electoral register.
